HEAD V/S HEART
The Human brain has a very large Cerebral Cortex – the center of all intellectual
processes and a very small hypothalamus – the center of Emotions. The Hypothalamus and Cortex is connected and exchange
signals via nerve pathways.
So ultimately, it depends upon who is more dominant. You can of course choose to allow
any one to dominate. So decisions can be made by Head or Heart.
Decisions made by the Cerebral Cortex (Head) are based on logic, reason and judgment.
Hypothalamic (Heart) decisions are made based upon instincts, feeling & emotional reasons, so they may not always be correct.
One has to learn to make the Cortex dominant over the hypothalamus. Or suffer
the consequences of Instinctive behavior.
